Before applying makeup or prepping the skin on your model you should ask the questions above to get a bit more information from them so you have a better understanding of their skin. Skin type is a very important question to ask so you have an idea on what products you should use on their skin type and products that effect it and products that will work best.

Other information you should find out is:
- Are they allergic to any products, before you use any products on their skin.
- Any cuts, blemishes, rashes, open sores or any other skin complaints.

Make sure your model feels comfortable if they have an issue on their skin that they feel self conscious about and do not diagnose anything.

Make sure you wash your hands before touching your models skin as you do not want to spread any bacteria onto their skin.

-Place a gown around your model.
- Don't put your makeup straight on the surface, make sure it is clean and put something down between the surface and the makeup.
- Do not double dip any of your products.
