These photos have been my inspiration for my final looks that i have designed for the New Elizabethan project. They all include hints of copper/red/gold/white which are the colours that i have chosen for my final designs. I wanted my final designs to have an overall look of very soft skin and blended eyes. The looks all had to be very soft because that reflected my lady in waiting, i imagine her to be very gentle and polite and thats how i wanted to reflect that emotion into my final design. The colours all represent different assets of her personality. Red: Mischievous. This is shown when she is arrested for the possession of banned books. Gold: Links with royalty. Her closeness to Elizabeth throughout her life. White: Innocence. When she was accused of having links with the Seymour incident with Elizabeth but was found innocent. Finally, the copper represents a mixture of the red and gold which shines in her personality, because i can imagine Elizabeth to be quite mischievous as well. I wanted to white out the brows and lashes because thats the effect elizabethans did in those days to make it seem like they had a larger forehead, however contrasting that i wanted to add contour around the forehead to show that now in contemporary times people like to contour to give the illusions of a smaller forehead, cheekbones, jaw line etc.
