National Museum Cardiff

Last weekend i went to visit my boyfriend at university in Cardiff and we decided to go to the museum on one of the days because they had exhibitions in there related to his course. I wasn't expecting to find anything related to the elizabethan era whilst i was there but i was pleasantly surprised when i saw this feature of Elizabeth I.

The feature was talking about different kind of pearls and where they originated from and how they were formed. In one of her portraits she was wearing pearls and they have actually identified those pearls as 2/3 seeding pearl oysters that were on her dress. Some of these pearls were from parts of Wales which was why it was included in this museum.
